Our Testament

The Gospel According to SOSF

Sisters of Sanctified Fire isn't your average gospel-drill collective — we're a divine force forged in sisterhood, sanctity, and the sound of the streets. Hailing from the pews and the pavement, we spit fire and truth with bars blessed by battle, scripture, and survival. We're not just sisters in cloth — we're real sisters by blood and bond.

Born from the convergence of two bloodlines, our collective emerged when Sister Crucifixa and Veronica — daughters of the same mother but different fathers — discovered Sisters Magdalene and Sister Mary MicDrop at an underground church cypher in the Bronx. The spiritual connection was immediate; the musical chemistry, undeniable. What began as four voices united in faith quickly evolved into a revolutionary sound that bridges the gap between sacred hymns and street anthems.

Our mission is clear: to bring the word to those who wouldn't darken a church door but would bump our beats in their headphones. We preach redemption over trap beats, salvation through 808s, and deliverance with drill drums. Every bar is a verse, every verse a sermon, every track a testimony.

In a world where authentic faith is often drowned out by the noise of materialism and false prophets, Sisters of Sanctified Fire stands as a beacon of raw truth and uncompromising devotion. Our weapons aren't just our words — they're the lived experiences, the fallen and risen again, the broken made whole. We are the voice of the voiceless, the sound of streets sanctified.

Our Sacred Mission

Sanctification

We believe in the transformative power of truth spoken over beats that penetrate the soul. Our music isn't just entertainment—it's purification through sound, cleansing through lyricism, and redemption through rhythm.

Sisterhood

Our bond transcends music. We are sisters by blood and by faith, standing together as living proof that family can be both born and chosen. Through our unity, we demonstrate the power of divine feminine energy channeled toward a holy purpose.

Street Gospel

We bring sacred messages to secular spaces, refusing to confine the word to traditional venues. The streets are our church, the stage our pulpit, and our rhymes the modern scripture for those who wouldn't pick up a Bible but will press play.

Divine Justice

Our message challenges systems of oppression while offering paths to liberation. We confront injustice with righteous indignation, giving voice to the marginalized and speaking truth to power through our divinely inspired lyrics.

Our Vision

We are not of this world, but we are sent to save it. Through our music, we break the chains that bind souls to darkness and lift spirits toward divine light. Every beat is a heartbeat, every rhyme a lifeline, every song a salvation. This is not just music—this is ministry through microphones.

HOLY SMOKE: The Making of a Gospel-Drill Revolution

hen we entered the studio to create 'HOLY SMOKE,' we knew we were being called to forge something that had never existed before. This wasn't just about making music—it was about creating sonic scripture, a new gospel for those who would never darken a church door but might press play. As the melodic architect of our sound, I want to take you behind the sacred curtain to witness the divine process that birthed our debut album.

Growing up as the daughter of jazz saxophonist Marcus Reed, I was immersed in rhythm and melody from birth. Dad would play Coltrane in the morning, Miles at midday, and his own compositions deep into the night. When Mom married him after my half-sister Crucifixa's father went to prison, our home became a sanctuary of sound. That musical foundation fused with the spiritual education I received alongside Crucifixa created something neither world had seen before—a melody that could bridge sacred and secular without compromising either.

The Divine Vision

After that fateful night in the church basement where our sisterhood formed, we spent months refining our sound through freestyle sessions and informal recordings on my phone. The viral reaction to our independently released mixtape "Confessions & Consecrations" caught the attention of Sanctus Samuel, a producer known for working with both gospel choirs and drill artists. He reached out with a simple message: "The world needs what you're creating. Let's build a temple of sound together."

Our vision for 'HOLY SMOKE' was clear from the first meeting—we needed to create something that honored both the sacred roots of gospel and the raw reality of drill without watering down either. This wasn't about making drill "cleaner" or gospel "edgier"—it was about revealing the spiritual truth that already existed in both forms and creating a sound that could speak to souls in multiple languages simultaneously.

"Gospel is truth set to music. Drill is reality set to rhythm. We didn't see them as opposites but as different expressions of the same human experience—one reaching upward, one speaking outward. Our mission was to create the musical language that could unite them."

The Sonic Architecture

Crafting the sonic landscape of 'HOLY SMOKE' required a delicate balance. We partnered Sanctus Samuel with drill producer BeatsByTheFaith to create the foundational instrumentals. The resulting beats incorporated the percussive urgency and bass-heavy intensity of drill while weaving in gospel chord progressions, subtle organ textures, and occasional choir samples.

For me, composing melodies that could carry spiritual weight while maintaining street credibility was the central challenge. I found inspiration in unexpected places—the call-and-response patterns of traditional Black church services, the improvisational freedom of my father's jazz, and the hypnotic flow patterns of contemporary drill artists. The goal was to create hooks that could be both worshipful and windows into urban reality.

The Sisters

Sister Cruxifixa

The Hammer of Heaven

Daughter of a firebrand preacher who ended up behind bars. She preaches through rhyme, turning her father's fall into her calling to rise. A voice like judgment day and a flow like Revelation.

Sister Magdalene the Martyr

a.k.a. Magdalene tha Murderer

The mic is her martyrdom and her weapon. Raised in the same convent as her blood sister Veronica, she's known for sanctified lyricism that slays demons and doubters alike. If you hear her coming, you better start praying.

Sister Veronica

The Vow Breaker

Once lost in the sins of Las Vegas, now found in the fire of faith. She broke the world's vows to keep heaven's. Redeemed and relentless, her style is sin-soaked and salvation-drenched. Sister to Magdalene, but reborn in the booth.

Sister Mary Mic Drop

Bronx-born, Rhyme-baptized

Rapping since age 12, she met Crucifixa in a church basement cypher that left everyone speechless. Same mother, different father — same sacred mission. Her verses slice through silence like stained glass shattering.
